Local rapper Machine Gun Kelly has just released a new pop-oriented single, “Habits.” One of two additional tracks included on the retooled version of his latest album, bloom, the confessional tune finds MGK alternating between rapping and singing as he evocatively confesses, “I fell in love with a very bad habit."

MGK has had a banner year. “Bad Things,” his duet with Camila Cabello, sold 6 million units worldwide and peaked at No. 4 on Billboard’s Hot 100, while “At My Best,” a track with Hailee Steinfeld, received over 470 million streams globally. Bloom has been certified gold too.

In addition, MGK will star in the upcoming Sandra Bullock flick Bird Box and the Rupert Wyatt-directed sci-fi film Captive State. He also teamed up with X Ambassadors and Bebe Rexha for “Home,” a tune from the accompanying soundtrack to Will Smith’s new Netflix action-thriller Bright.

MGK headlines Wolstein Center tonight.
