Cameo is a newish website offering the opportunity to buy personalized video shoutouts from a variety of celebrities. We won't go so far as to give a grade letter to the notable names on the service, but for perspective they include some Real Housewives, Instagram comedians, Tori Spelling, Ryan Cabrera, YouTube stars and starlets, bodybuilders, models and others.

For prices ranging from $5 for folks lower on the recognition and fame level to about $150 or so for the upper echelon of Bravo's reality TV stable, you can solicit a famous person to record a video for you or someone else offering anything from birthday wishes to support and encouragement to snippets of songs. You could debate why anyone would spend their free time recording messages for fans at $10 or $20 a pop, but for our purposes, that's really besides the point. It exists, and there are some Cleveland names.

OK, not a ton of Cleveland names. OK, very limited Cleveland names. The entire list: Dan Otero, former Browns wideout Jordan Payton, Josh Rounds (who may or may not still be on the Browns practice squad roster — we honestly didn't investigate that much), Cavs play-by-play announcer John Michael, and Jason Kipnis (whose services, the site notes, are temporarily unavailable).

Of the options for our first dabble into Cameo land, Dan Otero was the natural choice, and not just because his price was listed at a bargain rate of $5.

We submitted our request — that Otero give some encouragement to our friend Andre, who should probably lose some weight in 2018 and stay away from the Swensons and Popeyes, as well as curb his social media use — earlier this week.

Just two days later, our inbox flashed with the completed video, which you can watch below. Best $5 we've spent in a long time (though we do wonder what slice of that sweet, sweet Abe Lincoln Otero walked away with).
