Kevin Love is a NBA champion. He also models for clothing company Banana Republic and makes millions to play basketball. But in a recent article for The Players' Tribune, the Cavs star revealed the mental health problems he's secretly been dealing with.

Last November, in a game against the Atlanta Hawks, Love experienced a panic attack during the second half. As he ran back to the locker room, his heart wouldn't stop racing.

"It was like my body was trying to say to me, you’re about to die," Love wrote in The Players' Tribune article. "I ended up on the floor in the training room, lying on my back, trying to get enough air to breathe."

After this incident, Love admits being fearful his teammates would find out, but the Cavs found him a therapist.

"I remember thinking, what are my problems? I’m healthy. I play basketball for a living. What do I have to worry about? I’d never heard of any pro athlete talking about mental health, and I didn’t want to be the only one. I didn’t want to look weak," Love wrote.

But Love's teammates have been more than supportive of his opening up about mental illness.

Love admitted that the loss of his grandmother affected him more than he knew and that he'd buried those emotions since her passing. In the end, Love wanted to remind all his fans that "Everyone is going through something that we can’t see."
