What began in 2016 as a way to honor the memory of Alex Doody and Josh Weil, two Hawken School students who died three years ago in a tragic car accident, is now a one-of-a-kind Northcoast festival for nationally and locally recognized indie music talent.

This year’s event, which takes place at the Rock Hall on May 27, features the Floozies, Ripe, Aaron Benjamin, the Vindys, Tri-C High School Rock Off winner Montage, MalcUpNext, the Butterfly Experiment and a special appearance by the Young Souls Band of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland.

“Music brings us together and helps us find meaning in the world around us,” says Greg Harris, President & CEO of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, in a press release announcing the event. “We are honored that Catch Meaning selected the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as the location of this year’s event.”

The event is intended for a diverse audience.

“Alex and Josh were beloved members of their communities," says Michael Weil, Josh’s father and the festival founder. "They each had a special magnetism that brought people together. Catch Meaning is their legacy and a special opportunity for us all to come together to make meaning in our lives and the lives of others.”

Pre-sale general admission tickets are $26 and include admission to the Rock Hall. Day-of-show tickets are $35. VIP tickets are $125 ($90 of which is tax-deductible) and include exclusive stage-front viewing area, complimentary food/water, a private bar and a discount on Catch Meaning merchandise.
