Electronic Music Pioneer Gary Numan to Play House of Blues in September

Posted By on Thu, Apr 26, 2018 at 1:46 PM

With a career that spans nearly four decades, Gary Numan has persevered even though many initially dismissed him as a one-hit wonder. Pundits now generally regard Numan as an electronic music innovator who’s inspired acts such as Depeche Mode, Prince and Nine Inch Nails.

David Bowie once declared that Numan, who's most famous for his 1979 hit "Cars," wrote two of the best British rock songs ever.

Numan, who just released his 22nd studio album, Savage (Songs From A Broken World), now operates on a DIY level and even books his own shows and designs his own flyers.

He comes to town on Sept. 24 to play House of Blues. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday.
