All of you scruffy-looking nerf herders get excited, May the 4th is almost upon us. And the annual and official Star Wars holiday is this Friday, and Cleveland has plenty of awesome opportunities to celebrate.

Catch a Movie at the Library
From 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., the East Cleveland Library is showing a yet-to-be-announced Star Wars film in celebration of the holiday. The screening will take place in the lower auditorium and is listed as an event for all ages. The East Cleveland Library is located at 14101 Euclid Ave., East Cleveland.

Jam to Big Band at Vosh
Abby Normal and the Detroit Leans are back to get your booty shaking to the best ska, rock, disco, swing and everything else in-between. This event is advertised specifically for May the 4th, so it's safe to assume you'll get a genuine Mos Eisley Cantina feel from their musical stylings. The event starts at 9 p.m. at Vosh, located at 1414 Riverside Drive in Lakewood.

Join Geeks Who Paint at Fear's Confections
The fine folks at Wine & Design in Rocky River are taking their painting party on the road for a special Star Wars-inspired edition of Geeks Who Paint. Single or couple's canvas options are available, in addition to the always geeky and delicious treats offered at Fear's Confections. The event requests everyone arrives 15 minutes before the event at 6:30 p.m. Fear's Confections is located in Lakewood at 15208 Madison Avenue.

Party at Panini's on the East Side
The ever-delectable Panini's on the east side is celebrating Star Wars day in a big way. All night they'll be serving up special lightsaber cocktails and the famous Boba Fett-a Chicken Sandwich special. Costumes are encouraged but not required. The celebration will begin on Thursday for College ID night and continue through Friday, May 4th. Panini's is located at 1825 Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights.

Dance at the Star Wars Silent Disco at MOCA
Get ready to side with the Resistance or join the Dark Side as MOCA transforms into a battleground for dueling DJs playing beats inspired by Princess Leia’s Rebel Alliance and Darth Vader’s Galactic Empire. Specialty drinks, a costume contest, and so much more are in store at this killer Silent Disco. Tickets are going fast but are still available by clicking here.

Restore the Republic at The Side Quest
Use the force and let your freak flag fly at Cleveland's geek haven, The Side Quest. With specialty drinks, a "Han Shot First" tournament at 8 p.m. and a cosplay contest at 11 p.m. is sure to make this celebration a must-attend for any and every garbage chute raiding fly boy. The Side Quest is located at 17900 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood and as always, is a 21+ venue.
