Cuyahoga Community College has just announced its plans to increase its tuition for the first time in four years. The $10 boost per credit hour was approved Thursday by the Tri-C Board of Trustees, according to a press release.

Starting July 2, Cuyahoga County residents will pay $114.54 per credit hour. Overall, the average Tri-C student is set to pay an extra $90 per semester. Until then, school cost for residents will remain $104.54 per credit hour, as long as they register for the fall semester by 11:59 p.m. on July 1.

Yet even with the tuition boost in place, the expense to attend Tri-C remains the lowest in Ohio for the approaching school year. The school intends to dedicate the new funds toward career services aimed at helping students find jobs after graduation, as well as new student-focused programs.
