In an interview with ESPN's Rachel Nichols, Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue revealed that he is now on anxiety medication and feels much better after his regular-season leave of absence.

Lue was forced to leave the team for about two weeks in March after experiencing recurring chest pains and even coughing up blood. He made the decision to focus on himself after he couldn't return to the bench during the March 17 game against the Chicago Bulls. Associate Head Coach Larry Drew took over coaching duties in Lue's absence.

Lue had received some tests in the lead-up to his decision, he said. The tests confirmed that one of the primary causes for his chest pains was anxiety. Lue has now altered his diet — he hired a personal chef — and is on medication, which he told Nichols is "great."

"I think for the first time in my career, 20 years, I had a chance to focus on me," Lue said. "It wasn't as bad as people thought it was. But I did have some chest pains for the last couple of years. And I was just trying to be able to get through it not knowing what was wrong with me. So the two weeks I took off, just finally had a chance to focus on myself and change my diet. Hired a chef. Stopped drinking as many Shirley Temples. And stopped with the sweets and got back to taking care of myself. Now I feel great."

Lue's leave of absence occurred only two weeks after Cavs star Kevin Love revealed his own ongoing struggles with (and treatment for) anxiety in a Players' Tribune essay.

The Cavaliers play the Golden State Warriors in Game one of the NBA Finals tonight. The game will air on ABC. Tipoff is at 9 p.m.
