Yet another film being shot in Cleveland is in need of extras. Next Thursday, the teen drama The Last Summer, is taking over Crooked River Skatepark (1785 Merwin Ave.), and is asking for people to help fill out the scene.

During this shoot, extras are expected to cheer on professional skateboarders Zion Wright and Alex Sorgente, eat free food and even try to win prizes. Shooting goes from 5 p.m. to midnight.

This summer has already brought another production to Cleveland: Helen Hunt’s latest flick, I See You. And you'll see some familiar faces in The Last Summer too, most notably K.J. Apa (Riverdale), Maia Mitchell (The Fosters), and Jacob Latimore (The Maze Runner).

The Last Summer is currently shooting in and around Cleveland, though the story is set in Chicago. The movie follows the lives of high school graduates during their summer before college. Skateboarding is presumably a part of the film, as it was in 2016's The Land, directed by Steven Caple Jr.

An official release date is not yet known, but expect the film to arrive in theaters sometime next year.
