On Sunday, 16-Bit Bar + Arcade in Lakewood celebrates Go Skateboarding Day with a skate tournament for kids of all ages. The grand prize is a limited-quantity, custom 16-Bit Lakewood skate deck.

Up to 32 contestants can compete in the tournament, and the top five contestants will move into the finals. Prizes include a custom, limited-edition skate deck as well as skate helmets and other gear courtesy of Seventh Son Brewing and Tech Deck.

Local skate enthusiast Cory Mansour, the owner of Tri-Star Skates, will judge the tournament, part of 16-Bit’s Summer Shorty Days. For Summer Shorty Days, kids of all ages are invited to come to the bar/arcade with an adult.

Registration starts at noon, and the tournament begins at 1 p.m.
