We're not sure how much green slime is set to be involved with the live iteration of Nickelodeon's family-friendly game show classic Double Dare, but that will all become abundantly clear as soon as the show hits Playhouse Square's KeyBank State Theatre Nov. 11.

The show, which originally ran in the late '80s and early '90s, got on an on-air reboot this summer, but announced a series of live shows Monday. Along for the ride this fall is the show's original host, Marc Summers.

“Hosting the Double Dare Live tour couldn’t be any more exciting, and I look forward to bringing the fun and messiness of Double Dare to audiences across the country,” Summers said in a statement. “Doing the show again with my sidekick Robin will fulfill childhood dreams of the generation that grew up with us and introduce this classic show to the next generation.”

Each show on the tour features two sets of families, selected from the audience, answering trivia questions and competing in the original obstacle-course-filled format.

Make all your childhood dreams come true with tickets to the event, which go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Find those at playhousesquare.org.
