Downtown Cleveland's Winterfest celebration is set to twinkle once again this year. Scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 24 — yes, two days after Thanksgiving, as it should be — the public is invited to Public Square for a tree lighting ceremony and other family merriment.

The event, which kicks off at 9 a.m., includes free ice skating, free horse-drawn carriage rides, food trucks, live music, fireworks and a Santa sighting.

Those wanting to take advantage of the free skating should arrive starting at 9 a.m. to secure a time slot. Only 150 tickets are given out per 45-minute session, running thorugh 10 p.m.. Skate rentals are included along with your free ticket.

Note that the all-important tree lighting ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m.
