Featuring singer-guitarist Portia Maidment, a transplant from Philadelphia, the local band Port Lucian will celebrate the release of its dreamy new single, “Lucid Dreaming II,” with a show that takes place on Saturday at the Euclid Tavern.

The single comes on the heels of the band’s debut, last year’s Sun.

“While Sun was more pop-driven in sound, ‘Lucid Dreaming II’ embraces more slow guitar-based and reverb-soaked melodies,” reads a press release announcing the single and show. “Focused on the cliche idea of unrequited love, the structure and instrumentation of the song is anything but conventional, with layered vocals, guitars and synth building on each other to create dynamic motion.”

The Last Great American Band, Perfect Girl and ES&Co are also on the bill. The show starts at 9 p.m., and admission is free.
