Why It's Just Fine Backstreet Boys Aren't Coming to Ohio for New World Tour

The Backstreet Boys aren't coming to Cleveland next year.

Today, the former heartthrob act announced dates for a brand new world tour, one that wouldn't be making stops anywhere in Ohio. But honestly, that's okay.

Ohio is 98 Degrees country (the Lachey brothers hail from Cincinnati), New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men were here last summer and can't we all agree the NSYNC was always the superior choice when it came to the BSB vs. NSYNC rivalry of the late '90s?

Fans already got what they needed anyway when the crew hit Cleveland's Jacobs Pavilion back in 2013.

"While they could have benefited from the backing of a live band and their choreographed dance moves are still super-cheesy," Scene music editor Jeff Niesel noted then. "The guys put on an entertaining show that had the capacity crowd on its feet for the show’s duration."

Plus, the guys are releasing a new record, DNA, on Jan. 25, that should more than hold you over until they announce their next world, which will most likely include Cleveland.

Of course, if you still want to catch a nearby BSB show this time around you'll have to head to Detroit or Pittsburgh, on Aug. 12 and Sept. 14 respectively. Tickets go on sale for the DNA Tour next Wednesday.

Otherwise, holdout for the NSYNC tour you know you want even more.
