Chicago Historian Jeff Nichols, who can be found tweeting out vintage photos and videos from around the world right here, recently shared some gloriously-shot footage from a paved bike trail ribbon cutting ceremony at Rocky River Reservation from what looks to be at least 50 years ago.

You'll notice, of course, that no one is wearing a helmet or any other sort of safety gear. But people did bring along their kids and dogs.

Find maps and all pertinent information for the Rocky River Reservation, which rolls through Berea, Brook Park, Cleveland, Fairview Park, Lakewood, North Olmsted, Olmsted Township and Rocky River, right here.
