Shaker Heights' own Steven Oppenheim won Jeopardy Friday and is scheduled to defend his title tonight.

The supply-chain analyst racked up $33,201 in winnings after competing just one day, handily beating out the competition.

When longtime host Alex Trebek gave the final clue: "This U.S. Group was formed to protect settlers in an area that had recently gained independence from Spain," Oppenheim was the only contestant to answer correctly with "What are the Texas Rangers?"

Tonight's fresh episode airs at 7:30 p.m. on Channel 19. Watch all of Friday's riveting episode right here.
