The North Union Farmers Market is making a return to Legacy Village on Cleveland's east side this weekend.

Starting this Sunday, the summer market runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., continuing every Sunday through Sept. 29 in the parking lot adjacent to the Capital Grille.

The market is offering more than your standard array of fresh-grown produce, meat and dairy products (all of which are "certified producer only," a fancy way of saying 100-percent grown locally). Artists, craftsmen and bakers are also setting up shop, adding breads and pastries to the mix along with selections of cheese, jellies, pasta and mustard among other delicacies.

Legacy is also spicing up the event with live music and fitness classes from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. every week.

But don't worry if you're not super close to Legacy — this is only one of North Union's nine outdoor and two indoor (winter) market locations across the greater Cleveland area, including operations at Shaker Square and Van Aken. To find out more, visit

We’re keeping you informed…
...and it’s what we love to do. From local politics and culture to national news that hits close to home, Scene Magazine has been keeping Cleveland informed for years.

It’s never been more important to support local news sources, especially as we all deal with the ramifications of the coronavirus pandemic. Almost everything Scene is about -- our stories, our events, our advertisers -- comes down to getting together. With events on hold, and no print distribution for the foreseeable future, every little bit helps.

A free press means accountability and a well-informed public, and we want to keep our unique and independent reporting available for many, many years to come.

If quality journalism is important to you, please consider a donation to Scene. Every reader contribution is valuable and so appreciated, and goes directly to support our coverage of critical issues and neighborhood culture. Thank you.
