This month marks the anniversary of the famous Time magazine story/photo about the Cuyahoga River catching fire, and to mark that anniversary, WKSU 89.7 FM will air Watershed, a five-part news series about the current state of the Cuyahoga, Ashtabula and Black rivers.

According to a press release, “WKSU News will examine the current condition of the three waterways, the opportunities and challenges that face them, their influence on life in the region, and whether there’s a new generation to carry on the same spirit of environmental stewardship.”

The first episode will air next week when the segment will be broadcast between 5 and 9 a.m. and between 4 and 6 p.m.
