After being lauded as the best fanbase in the world this past December by the website FanSided, Browns fans have now been ranked as some of the worst in all of the NFL.

According to a new report from the Emory University Marketing Analytics Center, Browns fans are the 27th worst out of all 32 teams.

Professor Michael Lewis, author of the study, supposedly based the stats on things like total team revenue, game attendance, number of followers on social media and how many fans are willing to travel to away games.

In looking at the teams that scored in the Top 5 — Cowboys, Patriots, Giants, Eagles and Steelers — it's clear that the rankings favored winning franchises, historically and otherwise. Obviously, it's entirely easy to be a Patriots fan, you have Tom Brady. You win. Of course you're more willing to travel for your team.

But Browns fans don't need to listen to all of the nonsense out of Emory University. Browns Backers clubs are still going strong all across the globe. Plus, as local sports radio and Twitter will remind you on the daily, the Browns are probably going to win the Super Bowl this upcoming season, and, if possible, the World Series and NBA Championships as well. Even Snoop Dogg showed up at a team practice last year. The Muni Lot will always be a shit show, but things are looking up.

What's most important to note about this "study" is that Browns at least beat the Cincinnati Bengals, which came in at No. 28, respectively.
