If you haven't had time to read the Mueller Report since it was released in April, you aren't alone. A group of volunteer readers are working to combat that issue by providing a time for you to hear all the facts yourself, as they read all 182 pages of the second volume of the report aloud.

The live reading, "Cleveland Reads (Volume 2 of the Redacted) Mueller Report," will be accompanied by volunteer musicians who will play live music during the chunks of redacted text.

The event focuses on educating Clevelanders, no matter their age or political leaning, on the content of the report, according to a press release. Christine McBurney, the producer of the event, believes the "stakes are so high" in our political climate and that knowing what exactly is in the Mueller Report is important.

"How many of us who live in and benefit from a democracy, actually say we took the time to read it?" McBurney said in an email.

McBurney was inspired by a reading that took place in New York during June, which lasted 24 hours and featured both volumes of the report. Jackson Gay, one of the organizers of the New York reading, assisted McBurney in organizing the Cleveland event.

Folks can stay the entire 11 hours or just listen for a bit, as long as they pay a $10 admission fee that will be donated in full to the nonprofit organization Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services. Anyone who wants to volunteer as a reader or musician can sign up for a time slot the day of as time permits. The reading goes from noon to 11 p.m. on Aug. 28 in the Nighttown's main music room.
