National Dog Day is coming up on Monday, Aug. 26, which can only mean one thing ... free car washes?

Yes, for the second year in a row, Rainforest Car Wash is celebrating the national pooch-lovers day by giving out free car washes to anyone who brings along a furry friend to one of its three locations in Cleveland Heights, Brunswick and Medina.

Staff plan to take pictures of the dogs at pay stations, so let them know when you pull up if (for some reason) you don't want your pup photographed.

Rainforest Car Wash is also partnering with local animal shelters and rehabilitation centers to collect donations through the end of August. Donation items include plastic grocery bags, blankets, metal food bowls, dog beds, regular towels, clickers, mops and clorox, among other things.

To find out more about the event, call Rainforest Car Wast at 330-460-6022 (Brunswick), 216-291-7469 (Cleveland Heights) or 234-802-4085 (Medina).
