The "healthy, hip and wired" Hotspot Café is officially closing in downtown Cleveland next Friday.

After six years of serving up breakfast and lunch to nearby workers and visitors on 1332 Carnegie Ave., the cafe owners announced the news on Facebook (see below) earlier this morning, citing a lease expiration as the reason for the closure.

The location, which had already been home to other restaurants like Carnegie Grill, Verve and Juniper Grill, was known for meals that didn't break the bank, while offering up plenty of coffee and free internet access.
