Cleveland will next Monday join other cities that feature and focus on black-owned restaurants during a designated week — much like independent restaurants are celebrated as a whole during restaurant week.

Following a mission to "create an opportunity to bring awareness to local black owned restaurants throughout Northeastern Ohio and to encourage the entire community to support these various businesses by tasting, visiting and financial supporting their locations," A Taste of Black Cleveland Restaurant Week will run Dec. 9 through Dec. 16 featuring 19 restaurants.

Participants include:

-Pearl's Kitchen
-The Rib Cage
-Sauce the City
-Beckham's B&M
-Black Box Fix
-The Sweet Fix Bakery
-Swerve Grille
-Sylk's Chicken and Fish
-The Crispy Chick
-Floods Urban Seafood Lounge
-Zanzibar Soul Fusion
-Fawaky Burst
-The Fresh Fix
-Fresh and Meaty Burgers
-The Original Grill
-5 Points Grill
-Legends Bistro
