  • Cuyahoga County Board of Elections
Early in-person voting in the 2021 Cleveland mayoral race begins Monday at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections (2925 Euclid Ave.)

Primary day is not until Sept. 14, but over the next four weeks, those who prefer to vote early (for whatever reason) will have ample opportunity to do so. Voting will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. until Sept. 3, and from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Sept. 6 - 10, with additional blocks of time available on Sept. 11, 12 and 13.

The Cleveland mayoral race is only for residents of Cleveland, but residents of Bay Village, Cleveland Heights, East Cleveland, Garfield Heights, Lakewood and Solon have elections as well.

In Cleveland, voters have an opportunity to select a new mayor for the first time in 16 years, after Frank Jackson's four terms.

Former mayor and congressman Dennis Kucinich, nonprofit executive Justin Bibb, City Council President Kevin Kelley, Councilman Basheer Jones, former councilman Zack Reed, State Senator Sandra Williams and attorney Ross DiBello are the seven candidates for the office.
