The Cleveland baseball team will play its last home game of 2021 and its last home game as the Cleveland Indians today when the squad squares up against the Kansas City Royals in an afternoon tilt.

In 2022, when the team next returns to the corner of Carnegie and Ontario, it will be as the Cleveland Guardians, ending the 106-year run of the previous name.

That change as a lot of people feeling a lot of different things, but one sentiment that should be universal is one shared by fan Adam Gockowski on a sign he toted around Progressive Field on Sunday afternoon.

"Relax, we're becoming the Guardians, not the Ravens," it said

Gockowski brought the sign because in the turmoil of the name change, it's important to keep in mind Cleveland's team will return next year and beyond.

"I was the 2014 Governor of Brohio for the Indians," he told Scene. "And I made the sign to remind everyone that Cleveland will still have Major League Baseball next season and we know what it's like to lose a team. I saw the bat signal and needed to spread the message."
