The long wait is nearly over for the team behind Ready Set! Coffee Roasters. What began as a garage operation will transition to a brick-and-mortar roastery and café in Gordon Square. That location opens its doors on Monday, October 11.

Molly and Chris Allen, brother and sister, and partners Margaret Allen and Jeff Dangremond were on pace to open the 1,800-square-foot space (7306 Detroit Ave., 216-736-8601) prior to the start of the pandemic. Instead, they delayed the opening and moved their cottage business to a warehouse in Fairview Park.

Since launching, the small batch coffee roaster has focused on retail and wholesale, with its single-origin coffees and specialty blends popping around town at restaurants like Go Buddha in Rocky River and Borderline Cafe in Lakewood and stores like Constantino's Market in the Warehouse District. They also have been offering free next-day delivery to homes throughout the region.

The spacious new headquarters in Detroit Shoreway will function both as retail coffee bar and production roastery.

Check them out in their new home beginning 7 a.m. Monday, October 11.
