-The challenges of being monogamist
-His latest Comedy Album called “Decisions Aren’t my Thing”
-Our skepticism of astrology
-Religion, Dogma and the Golden Rule
-Politics, Gun violence and Gun Reform
-The transparency of racism in America.

Dan & Brian had the chance to sit down with Stephanie Hicks Thompson of the Cleveland Foundation and Noelle Celeste of The City Club of Cleveland and Edible Cleveland to talk about Common Ground. Common Ground is a day-long community-wide conversation that encourages civil discourse and community building. This year in nearly 100 events on Sunday, June 24, people will be talking about why place matters. We talk about the history of Common Ground, a bit about the Cleveland Foundation and their history, the event itself, and how it impacts the community at-large. Stephanie and Noelle also are subjected to a quiz about places.

Join Brian and special guest host Alex Budin at our next live show: Live with Lauren Kotmel, Yelp Community Manager at Terrestrial Brewing.

Dan & Brian had the chance to sit down with the amazing and wonderful Cassandra Fear of Fear's Confections. Cassandra's shop, located on Madison in Lakewood, specializes in nerd-based chocolate. Not that her chocolate has nerds in it, whether human or candy form, but that it's targeted toward nerd-oriented persons. Whether you're into Star Wars, gaming, Star Trek (the better Star based thing), Dr. Who, superheroes, D&D, or anything else dorky, nerdy, or geeky... Fear's has a chocolate for you. We chat about Cassandra's past, her founding of the business, the growth from home kitchen to storefront, and some national notoriety she earned. We also test Cassandra's taste in chocolate, listen for the results.

If you already follow and listen to the CleCast, you already know what you're getting. For those of you that don't, we'll be sharing new episodes of the pod, which features Dan Huszai and Brian Harrington talking about all things Cleveland — music, movies, art, politics, transit, food, beer, etc., starting this week.

Today's installment: Dan and Brian sat down with the amazingly talented Madeline Finn. Madie is a guitarist, vocalist, and founding member of the band The Whiskey Hollow. We talked about her journey through music, from a student in Streetsboro to a Hollywood Week finalist on American Idol and on to her path today. Madie shares how her personal experiences and struggles with eating disorders inform her music and lyrics. We also come up with a new band name.

Listen for the debut of Win The Girl from The Whiskey Hollow's upcoming album.
