Cavs vs. Golden State
    When: Sun., Dec. 25
In what looks like it's becoming a Christmas Day tradition, the Cavs once again take on the Golden State Warriors. The two teams squared off last Christmas Day on the Warriors' turf and came up just short. The Cavs had the last laugh, however, as they would beat the Warriors in the Finals despite losing to them twice during the regular season. The Warriors have retooled this season, adding Kevin Durant to an already strong roster. Expect this nationally televised game to be a real battle. The game begins at 2:30 p.m. Tickets start at a whopping $175. (Photo courtesy Emanuel Wallace)

Andrew W.K.
    When: Mon., Nov. 14
The self-proclaimed King of Partying, singer Andrew W.K. has somehow made a career out of his 2001 novelty tune "Party Hard." Of course, W.K. has recorded and toured regularly in the decade or so since he got his big break. The raspy-voiced hard rocker has also gotten gigs as a motivational speaker and worked as a producer (he has teamed up with Clevelander Baby Dee on numerous occasions). But nothing's had as much impact as the rowdy rocker "Party Hard," though like-minded tunes such as "It's Time to Party" and "Long Live the Party" come close. Tonight, W.K. brings Power of Partying, his first nationwide speaking tour, to town. The tour includes stops in all 50 U.S. states. Each evening will provide “an intimate celebration of discussion, a pep rally for the inner spirit, and an optimistic look at the overwhelming intensity of life.” The event takes place at 7:30 at the Capitol Theatre. Tickets are $20.

An Evening with Scott Hamilton & Friends
    When: Sat., Nov. 5
Tonight's 17th annual An Evening with Scott Hamilton & Friends ice show and gala serves a dual purpose. While it offers fans a chance to see a champion skater strut his stuff, it also serves as a benefit for benefit cancer research, education and survivorship programs at Cleveland Clinic's Taussig Cancer Institute. Over the years, the annual event has raised more than $17 million to fund these programs. The event begins at 5 p.m. Tickets start at $32.50. Photo courtesy Wikipedia

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus
    When: Thu., Oct. 20
The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus dates back decades, but the circus still strives to regularly reinvent itself. This year’s incarnation will feature thrill skaters in addition to acrobats, animals and clowns. The “immersive atmosphere: created by lighting technology and video projection will combine with a “thrilling storyline.” Ringmaster Johnathan Lee Iverson and “Circus Star Seeker” Paulo battle evil forces such as the Intergalactic Circus Queen Tatiana. The technology in this year's incarnation, Out Of This World, provides a multisensory experience, and video screen production enhancements deepen the connection between the audience, the performances and the performers’ journey through space. Projection technology transports fans to far-off planets throughout the galaxy and transforms the arena into a swirling space-scape. The circus performs at 7 tonight at the Q, where shows are scheduled through Sunday. Tickets start at $20.

Cleveland Monsters vs. Rockford Ice Hogs
    When: Fri., Oct. 14
The Cavs NBA title undoubtedly overshadowed the Cleveland Monsters' Calder Cup win, but the AHL team won the hearts of local hockey fans with its lengthy playoff run that culminated in a championship win. Tonight at 7, the team returns to the Q to defend its title against the Rockford Wild Hogs. The two teams face off again tomorrow at 5 p.m. For tonight's game, the first 10,000 fans will receive a replica championship banner. As part of 1-2-3 Fridays, there will be $1 Pepsi products, $2 Sugardale hot dogs and $3 beers. A Calder Cup championship banner will be hung from the rafters prior to the game's start. The first 10,000 fans on Saturday will receive a Calder Cup Magnetic Schedule. Tickets start at $10.

Kanye West: The Saint Pablo Tour When: Sat., Oct. 1, 8 p.m. Price: $29.50-$129.50 Rapper/producer Kanye West first emerged onto the scene in 2001 as one the producers on Jay Z's seminal album, The Blueprint. In 2004, West released his first album, The College Dropout and its success was fueled by the singles "Jesus Walks," "All Falls Down" and "Slow Jamz." Albums Late Registration, Graduation, 808s & Heartbreak, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Yeezus and The Life of Pablo followed and West has become one of the most respected artists in the industry. West has often courted controversy as his calling out of President George Bush during a Hurricane Katrina benefit and interruption of Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards both made international headlines. West is also a fashion designer and has collaborated with Nike and Louis Vuitton in the past. An elaborate production, West's Saint Pablo tour features a floating stage that hovers above the audience and moves during the concert. If nothing else, West is a master showman with a flair for the unexpected and anything can happen at any given moment during one of his sets. We'd expect nothing less.

Cleveland Garlic Festival
    When: Sat., Aug. 27
Northeast Ohio is prime garlic-growing territory, so it makes perfect sense to honor the stinking rose with its very own festival. A fundraiser for the North Union Farmers’ Markets, the Cleveland Garlic Festival features music, wine and beer vendors, food competitions, top chef grill-offs, and countless vendors peddling garlic-scented foods. The festival also rounds up many of the region’s best garlic growers, making the fest the best place for wannabe garlic growers to purchase this year’s planting stock. Snoop Dogg/Wiz Khalifa/Kevin Gates/Jhene Aiko/Casey Veggies/DJ Drama When: Sun., Aug. 14, 7 p.m. Price: $25-$70.75 Given that rapper Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa share the mic on Snoop's latest single, the jittery "Kush Ups," it makes sense that the two would embark on a summer tour together. The duo will take the stage for the first time together in "a one-of-a-kind joint performance" that will find them playing hits, new songs and collaborations like “You and Your Friends” and the Grammy-nominated anthem “Young, Wild and Free.”

Sinbad
    When: Fri., Aug. 5
Story-based comic Sinbad prides himself on finding the funny even in the toughest situations. His show’s interactive, but you may not want to participate in this audience. Sinbad flips the script on his viewers and turns their troubles into comedic gold for everyone else. The comic’s also seen some screen time though it’s nothing to brag about. He was the star of the holiday flop Jingle All the Way and has also acted in several pilots. It’s safe to say his forte is stand-up, but you can judge that for yourself tonight at 7:30 and 10 at Hilarities, where he has shows scheduled through Sunday. Tickets are $30 to $35.
