The View From the Top Bottom of the World

Clevelanders who wanted to view their lovely town from the perch of the Terminal Tower observation deck this weekend, before the bird's nest was closed to the public yet again, were greeted with long lines. Very long lines. Like, very, very, very long and dispiriting lines that only the bravest of the brave or bored-est of the bored attempted to tackle.

Perhaps this had something to do with the observation deck, which had been closed to the curious public since 9/11, being ritually opened for all of six minutes for a couple days over a couple of weeks. Perhaps it just rocks up there on the 42nd floor. We'll never know.
