We remember a time when high school pranks could be boiled down to egged houses and stolen lawn ornaments. With growing access to technology has come more and more inventive teenagers inspired to wrong-do. Last month, Ohio high schoolers created a political action committee (PAC) called "Killary Clinton" because, well, why not?
In a story from Cleveland.com, a group of kids from the small town of Pataskala, east of Columbus, were inspired by another classmate who created the more legitimate "Better America For Tomorrow" PAC in support of presidential hopeful Marco Rubio. Following that student's lead, the teens filed all the right paperwork and signed the dotted line for "Killary" in November, which they say they did "just for the heck of it."
An official PAC approved by the Federal Election Commission, "Killary Clinton" caught the attention of the kids' school officials and even the Department of Homeland Security. The Department of Homeland Security stopped by Pataskala to speak with each student, while the school's principal did the same. Both have said they're just checking out the students to make sure "Killary" isn't meant as a threat. If it is, the students would be in violation of their high school's code of conduct, and of course, the law.
