I frequently get takeout from Hunan Solon and have also eaten in the restaurant. It's one of my favorite restaurants. The spinach potstickers and cold sesame noodles are great - as are the Thai curry dishes (LOVE the pannag curry). I have never been disappointed by anything from this restaurant.
And that is why I now drive out of my way to completely avoid driving anywhere in East Cleveland. No more of these b.s. gotchas to generate money will be crossing my doorstep. I also know several other people who no longer drive past the city limits (and we live in Cleveland Heights). That also means no income for any of the businesses in East Cleveland, Mayor Norton. Pretty short-sighted if you ask me.
This was really interesting. Thanks for sharing the photos. My father has talked about my grandfather coming home from the East Ohio Gas Explosion with his eyebrows and arm hair singed off. Fascinating to see old photos of it as well as other events of which I was completely unaware.
If I were SPACES I would think twice about relocating to Ohio City too after the harassing treatment the Naji Gallery has had. Not saying that is why they are rethinking things, but that was my first thought when reading the article.
So who is paying the Northeast Ohio Media Group to pull its best investigative reporters? Sounds pretty damn shady if you ask me.
I worked at Bakers Square for five years, so I am very familiar with their pies. Once you try a piece of pie from Humble Pie you will understand why people are willing to pay $23 for a pie. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Bakers Square cream pies are shipped in, and the fruit pies arrive frozen and are baked on site. I believe they come from Minnesota. I used to eat the filling and leave the crust. I eat every bite of Diane's pie crust. Her crusts are made with lard, butter, flour and water. Bakers Square probably uses preservatives to ensure they arrive fresh. I stand by my original statement. Best pies in Cleveland. Hands down.
I'd put Latitude 41n's Mongo Grubbo or pineapple and coconut pancakes up there with the best of them.
What a douchebag. Expecting other people to read his employees' work when he can simply HIRE COPY EDITORS AGAIN!
