“How you doing Cleveland! You look so good!” Suki Waterhouse shouted to the jam-packed crowd at the Agora on Friday night as the British singer kicked off a mesmerizing show and left fans (many of whom were wearing Suki-inspired fur coats) wanting more.
She walked onstage at 9:20 to a huge ovation, wearing a pink fur coat, glitter shorts, tank top, and silver knee-high boots. The stage itself was a dream-like forest, with trees, plants and a disco ball spinning over it all.
Backed by her four-piece band, she opened with “Gateway Drug” and kept the energy high with “Supersad” from her new album “Memoir of a Sparklemuffin.”
Waterhouse danced in flashing lights, her hair blowing in the wind as the actress and model struck poses. Her vocals sounded fantastic, cascading beautifully in the Agora throughout the set.
As the crowd delivered huge ovations, and Waterhouse fed off the energy dancing freely, she remarked, “What an amazing crowd you guys are.”
Waterhouse laid on the ground under the disco ball a few songs later as fans took pictures and videos.
“I’m so blessed to be here. I wasn’t even doing this a couple years ago. This is just insane,” Waterhouse told the excited crowd.
During the encore, fans chanted “Suki.” She walked onstage to thunderous applause. The set closed with “Brutally” and “Good Looking.” Fans went wild as she waved to the crowd.
“I love you guys so much. Good night. Thank you.”
Bully opened the show with a solid set of alt rock songs. “Hard to Love” and “Trying” showcased her powerful vocals and guitar playing.
