Cleveland's Radderall and Muzzy Fossa Collaborate on New Concept Album

This fall, RAM, a collaboration between Cleveland psychedelic pop artists Radderall and Muzzy Fossa will release a concept album called The Club Is Open.

They’ve just released the funky first single and video, “Baseball,” which is available on all streaming services.

“This album and three-part video arc follows two fictional characters caught between short-term thrills and deeper self-discovery,” says Radderall’s Zach Taneyhill in an email. “In ‘Baseball,’ they search for a mythical place called the Club, a symbol of escape, indulgence and ego.”

The two characters will return in forthcoming singles.

“In ‘Movies,’ our characters find the Club, and become mimes, symbolizing the loss of identity in escapism and performance,” says Taneyhill. “In ‘Planted,’ our characters stumble out of the Club into a purgatory realm and watch idealized versions of themselves perform—before quietly turning into plants.”

The video was shot and edited by Isaac Bixel, and Jim Stewart mixed and mastered the audio.

The Club Is Open arrives on Oct. 10 through Wax Mage Records. The group will play the record live throughout the summer/fall before touring in November after the release.

In addition, Radderall and Muzzy Fossa will play their new single live on Saturday at the Grog Shop in Cleveland Heights as part of the Wax Mage anniversary show. PAL, Chayla Hope, Wish Queen and Songs for an Unknown God will open as well. Doors are at 6 p.m. Music is at 7 p.m.
