Who chose this bonehead to discuss the quality of Cleveland life?
Cleveland is a whole lot more than sports (as we all know) so why not focus on the positive aspects.
And ‘4 months of Cleveland you’d rather do without’ ??? Has this guy ever gone to the metro parks to go tabogganing, or skiing at Brandywine/Boston Mills and then after hitting some of the fantastic restaurants and pubs our great city has to offer? What about Severence Hall in the Winter Season? I love being there in the winter, and then walking around Case/University Circle… I love seeing our beautiful Lake Erie covered in snow. Plus taking a impromtu sled and going to Edgewater Park and then hitting the Parkview after for some great drinks, company and blues? That’s perfect stuff for Cleveland. Dude, focus on the positive. It’s better for you, for Cleveland and for this reader.
Please tell me WHY this Erich Burnett gets to be a voice for Cleveland?
Perhaps he should move to Youngstown, or Toledo, or Dayton.
Sean: I am just happy that you responded and said some good things about Cleveland. We are very fortunate to live where all of the seasons can be enjoyed…and sometimes endoured. The lake is something that we do not always appreciate, yet it is the life-water that created Cleveland. To see it change into ice in the winter is pretty cool. Ice fishing used to be fun, but I guess we don’t freeze up enough for that anymore.
As much as I enjoy the article, because so much of it is true, I also appreciate the comments from Sean and Kenny. I was born and raised in Cleveland, and it’s true what they say about where you’re from being a big part of who you are. I was also fortunate enough to live in Southern California for 8 years, which was a life-changing experience. At the end of the day everywhere you can live has it’s upsides and downsides. Now that I’m back in Ohio and have grandchildren I can be close to, my Ohio experiences will be different. Cleveland is a cool city. Even people in L.A. thought so. Could be because so many of them were from the midwest…

Boy I’m glad that 1100am is not having every commercial done by either Glenn________ or _________L. Earlier this year while listening to a Browns game on 1100am they had both these guys, non-stop advertising their absurd and slanted-toward-hell messages.
OOPS! Just when I say this I hear the pushy and stupid voice of GB telling the audience ‘they have to listen to him’. Presumablly because the right wing media control Ohio paid him to flood the radio waves with the same old boring conservative bull-shit. Shameless pricks.
And then as though they were reading my report, 1100am started putting those blow-hards back on the radio. RL and GB are two of the most dangerous men in America. The reason is because they say things which the stupidist and most hateful men in our society think and say. What the Wolfe Family and the Dispatch and now the PD and the other main stream, conservative bull-shit spit all day long. For every time you hear GB or RL say something mean and hateful there are millions of republicans agreeing with them. I’m not a democrat either, but I do know who I disagree with almost always with—the current far right pushy party we call republicans (although old and more honorable republicans also hate these guys for high-jacking what once was not so bad of a political party which produced some good politicians).
Well at least Bernie is doing some radio commercials for Drug Mart. 1100am would be alright if they dropped GB and RL. RL ‘scares himself he’s so smart..or is that the Triv?’ At least Triv is from Cleveland and has paid his dues to say stupid stuff. And then he goes way back to Gary D. and Pete Franklin..
