Now, she has cancer. On Sunday at the Beachland Ballroom, local hero Michael Stanley [pictured] will headline a benefit to help raise money so that she can seek alternative treatment outside of the country for Angiosarcoma, a rare form of cancer.
“She always had that big smile and great energy even when grumpy rock stars were giving her a hard time,” says Maver in a press release. “She had a hand in everything that was going on.”
The Cleveland All-Stars, a local group featuring veteran musicians such as Butch Armstrong, Ernie Krivda, Tony Mazzone, Tampa Murphy, George Sipl, Alan Greene, Bobby Huszar, Jack Hrusch, Norman Tischler and Maver, will open.
