After three decades at the Galleria at Erieview, Café Sausalito pulled up stakes, relocated and rebranded. The new restaurant, Sausalito on Ninth, reopens with a new concept on Monday in a street-level spot in the IMG building at the corner of East 9th and St. Clair.

The spot promises a casual atmosphere with loft seating, a contemporary bar and floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the street.
“We’re ready to go and start this next, exciting phase,’’ said Sausalito owner Saravanan “Babu” Chandrababu. “It’s going to be a great spot for business lunches, Happy Hours, and after-work dinners.”
Chandrababu will also be opening a new private dining/event venue on the building’s 15th floor. The “Penthouse on Ninth” will be able to accommodate up to 100 guests in a space with views of Lake Erie.
