This weekend’s Rock on the Range at Columbus’ Mapfre Stadium was full of wild antics and fans, but one rock lover in particular chose to bring their dog to the event … and then go crowd surfing.

Strangely, the animal looks pretty calm and collected while cruising over hundreds of hands with its owner.

While some internet commentators felt sorry for the pooch, others called the act a kind of abuse. Either way, there’s probably a reason doggy crowd surfing isn’t usually a big thing at rock concerts.

This year’s sold-out event included headliners Tool, Avenged Sevenfold and Alice in Chains as well as Godsmack, A Perfect Circle, Stone Sour, Stone Temple Pilots and the Used. Who knows what next May’s rockin’ event may bring.
