For the past ten years, local musician and label owner Adam Rich has hosted Love MuffinPalooza, a festival that showcases local bands.

This year’s event once again serves as a fundraiser for the Gathering Place, a cancer support center with locations in Beachwood and Westlake. It provides free programs and services for individuals and families coping with a cancer diagnosis.

There will be a nightly raffle with over 30 prizes, and performances will take place at Wilberts, Grog Shop and Mahall’s 20 Lanes.

The lineup includes the following acts: David Smeltz, the Last Friend, City Limits and Carlos Jones will perform on Thursday, Sept. 6, at Wilberts; Brave Bones, Melodramatics, the Whiskey Hollow and James Emmett Band will play on Friday, Sept. 7 at the Grog Shop; and Michael McFarland, XLT 1000, Flowers in Flames and Sweepyheads will perform on Saturday, Sept. 8, at Mahall’s.

Big Fun owner Steve Presser will MC the Grog Shop show, and T. Nick from WRUW’s Live from Cleveland will MC the Mahall’s show. Check the club websites for ticket prices.

Jeff has been covering the Cleveland music scene for more than 25 years now. On a regular basis, he tries to talk to whatever big acts are coming through town. And if you're in a local band that he needs to hear, email him at jniesel@clevescene.com.
