Avon Lake Cemetery Tour – Returning this October 2016 are the Avon Lake Cemetery Tours. Once again, the curious visitor can join our guide, Sherry Spenzer, for a walking tour and hear the stories of the bones beneath the stones. Tours will be offered Oct. 20, 21 and 22 at 4:30 pm, 5:45 pm, and 7 pm each evening. Come and hear all new stories about old residents. East Cleveland Township Cemetery Halloween Tour – The Annual Halloween Tour is back Saturday October 29th – 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM. The walking tour will begin at the cemetery chapel, please bring a flashlight, dressing in costume is optional. Located at 1621 E. 118 St., 216-536-7432
Erie Street Cemetery Tour – It’s Cleveland’s oldest existing cemetery. When the last was first acquired by the Village of Cleveland in 1826, it was considered far enough form the center of population that it wouldn’t get in the way of new construction. Occupants of the more centrally-located Ontario Street Cemetery were exhumed and reburied here. Today, downtown Cleveland towers all this ?spacious, shadypiece of land; the city has grown and expanded over the decades, but he ?graveyard has remained essentially unchanged for more than 175 years. Fairport Harboir Historical Society Marine Museum and Lighthouse Tower Ghost Stories Tour – Sometimes the light from here at night doesn’t seem to be coming from the lighthouse tower at all. First Presbyterian Church Ghost Walk – Walk and discover the spirits of Warren who never sleep. True stories about real people who died tragically in Trumbull County. Sponsored by the Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County. $8 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under, located at 256 Mahoning Avenue NW in Warren.
Ghost Tours with Psychic Sonya – An ordained spiritualist, Sonya offers a host of paranormal tours. Visit hauntedclevelandtours.com for this seaon’s full listing. Bus tours are typically $75 per person.
Haunted Cleveland Ghost Tours – Founded by Chuck Gove in 1999, Haunted Cleveland Ghost Tours gives fun and fact-filled tours of the most macabre historic sites in Cleveland. Kent Ghost Walk – This year’s Kent Ghost Walk will be held October 14 & 15 and features two different routes leaving every 30 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at kentstage.org for $10-$13
Midwest Railway Preservation Society Paranormal Ghost Tour – Along with their mission to collect, preserve, educate, and operate railroading history, the railway is also known for its paranormal activity. Suggested donations for tours are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. It’s located at 2800 w. 3rd St. in Cleveland. Make reservations at midwestrailway.org
Night for a Fright at Evergreen Hill Cemetery – This year’s Night for a Fright will be held October 12 beginning at 10 p.m.. Tickets are $25 per person. Join Cleveland historian Dan Ruminski as he shares Chagrin Valley’s most haunted tales in the shadows of the Evergreen Hill Cemetery. Learn about the ghosts of Cleveland’s past from the Gilded Age as the evening sky falls. Following the graveside chat, eat, drink and be scary across the street at Kelly’s Working Well Farm (16519 Franklin Street, Chagrin Falls). Ghoulish attire is encouraged. Rider’s Inn Ghost Tour – Eat and get spooked! Hear Cathi Weber, author of Haunted Willoughby, talk about “Tales from the Eerie Shores,” which may include the ghost that lives in Rider’s Inn (792 Mentor Ave. in Painesville). Tickets are $35 for members and $40 for non-members.
Squire’s Castle Tour – Fergus B. Squire built the Castle as a caretaker’s home while he built the real castle, which was never completed. he lived in the caretaker’s cottage while he was preparing to build the main house. one night his wife was found dead on the basement steps with her neck broken. The Spirits of the Palace Ghost Investigation Tour – Sometimes there’s laughter, and sometimes crying–but it isn’t always because there’s a show going on. This tour is located at the iconic Canton Palace Theatre at 605 Market St. Ave. Tours typically last from 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., and admission is $40 per person.
Willoughby Ghost Walk – This tour takes you to all of the haunted spots in downtown Willoughby, and features guides with plenty of ghost stories to share. Ticket costs vary, and can be purchased at willoughbyghostwalk.com
