Gathering ’round the bonfire near the main stage… (The fires became rallying points for djembes and saxophones deep into the wee hours of the weekend. Then, on Saturday, the weather turned wildly cold and windy, leading to a certain practicality around the fire.) Credit: Eric Sandy

The path into the woods, where some 3,500 attendees camped out all weekend. As always, the campsite scene was lively as hell and very creative. (One of my final memories from the weekend was a haunting a cappella version of Smells Like Teen Spirit being sung by like 20 people around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday morning somewhere deep in the trees. Totally could have imagined it, but it seemed very real as I walked back to the car.) Credit: Eric Sandy
