Seventeen black-and-white photographs make up Seydou Keïta: Portraits From Mali, a collection by the late Malian artist that’s now on view at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Most of the large- and medium-scale works are from the 1950s and ’60s. It’s a captivating look at how the 20th century permeated an ancient land with such modern-day luxuries as watches and radios.
