OSU-Florida: It's gonna be huge. No really.
If you didn't have the good fortune to bum a ride to Arizona with college kids in order to "cover" the BCS championship game for the town daily, Playhouse Square has lined up an alternate means to get your drunk on and see the game up close and impersonal: The big tilt between Ohio State and Florida will be shown in hi-def -- for free -- on the Palace Theatre screen. Which happens to be THE LARGEST FREAKING SCREEN in Ohio. We're talking James Laurinaitis the size of Godzilla. There'll be pregame games and prizes, food, and adult beverages (not free, but hey). Though entry is free, you must have a ticket to gain access. Get 'em at the Playhouse Square box office, at PlayhouseSquare.org, or by calling 216-241-6000. Tickets are general admission and first come, first served. Doors open at 6 p.m.; kickoff is likely to happen sometime around 8:30 p.m., give or take a Bon Jovi/U2 performance or two. -- Erich Burnett
