Three Ohio authors stop by Suspect Thoughts Books for "Queerland Rocks," the "alternaqueer" bookstore's monthly meet-and-greet with a cast of LGBT writers, actors, and performers. Gay Latino poet Rane Arroyo reads from Same-Sex Séances as well as his other award-winning collections, and is joined by Glenn Sheldon, a colleague at the University of Toledo and author of Bird Scarer and other poetry collections. LGBT lit then goes all futuristic sci-fi with Alice Baburek's When Lightning Strikes Back, a fantasy set in the year 2210 focusing on a time-traveling government agent and her partner. All authors will read selections from their work, answer questions, and sign books. "Queerland Rocks" from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the bookstore, 4903 Clark Avenue. Admission is free. Call 216-631-2665 or visit www.myspace.com/suspectthoughtsbooks.
