Quarry Picnic Area, Euclid Creek Reservation
"One of the most dramatic sections of Euclid Creek is almost entirely invisible to the vast majority of park visitors, but it can easily be admired from the Quarry Picnic Area. Red Line Greenway, Lakefront Reservation
"Walworth Run was once a gently flowing stream that formed a steep and wide ravine as it made its way down to the Cuyahoga River. In the late 19th Century, the stream became so polluted that it was considered a nuisance. By 1903, the entire watercourse was converted into a large underground storm sewer. Although the stream is gone, remnants of the large ravine that it carved are still noticeable from the Red Line Greenway, where birds and wildlife are returning to its replanted slopes."
