Vintage Photos of Cleveland From 1900-1915

At the turn of the 20th century, Cleveland was undergoing a lot of change, becoming a modern and leading American city. George Ketteringham was there to document it all. Ketteringham was a technological developer and played a major role in developing periscopes for submarines. He helped with construction projects like the Detroit-Superior and Hope Memorial Bridges the Terminal Tower and began taking photographs while working on these projects. He documented Cleveland at the turn of the century as much as anyone. More than a century later, his work is a fascinating wayback trip to what the city looked like in the early 1900s.
