Those big-ticket names join 2015 additions Melt, Barrio, Sweet Moses, Great Lakes Brewing Co. and Dynomite Burger, and the more recent announcements for the "Infield District": Happy Dog, Cleveland Pickle and Ohio City Burrito.
The Indians also announced that they'll be installing a brand-new beer garden with all sorts of Great Lakes Brewing Company beers on tap.
At this point, why go to the Near West Side at all when you can just go to an Indians' game instead, right? (We jest). It's cool that Progressive has made such an effort to celebrate local cuisine.
But Scene's "2021" joke prediction, that the Indians would actually build a replica West Side Market inside Progressive Field, was predicated on developments like these. A mini West Side Market doesn't seem so implausible these days.
In the meantime, can't go wrong with Momocho nachos or any of the offerings below.
- Momocho's offerings: nachos with made-to-order tortilla chips, queso fundido, meats and salsas.
- Fat Head’s Brewery offerings: two of its “Headwiches” — enormous sandwiches named for the size of one's head — The Fat Italian and The Southside Slopes, a chargrilled kielbasa topped with sautéed pierogi and onions, American cheese and horseradish sauce.
- Dante’s Inferno offerings: hand-crafted pizzas baby, including the restaurant’s spaghetti and meatball pizza.
- Brew Kettle offerings: Signature beers, including Four C’s, White Rajah, Black Rajah, Big Woody, Summer Rays and Kitka, a coconut chocolate milk stout.
