Cleveland's famed corned beef emporium Slyman's is making moves to expand once more. This time, the sandwich shop is taking its talents to Avon, at least
according to public records obtained by Cleveland.com showing a property on Nagel Road was purchased by the company.
While no official construction plans have been shown to Avon's Planning Commission, the purchase all but confirms the rumor that
Slyman's Tavern is coming to Avon.
As anyone who enjoys their corned beef piled 6-inches high between slices of rye bread knows, their are already two tavern locations in Beachwood and Independence along with the original Slyman's Restaurant on St. Clair in Cleveland.
It's unclear when the Avon tavern location would open, but no doubt
sandwich lovers will be ready when it does.
