Were assuming these are American Idols

  • We’re assuming these are American Idols

Because I don’t watch American Idol, I have no idea who Didi Benami, Crystal Bowersox, or Lee DeWyze are.

They sound like tasty appetizers, but apparently they’re contestants on the latest season of American Idol, and they’re coming to town on September 11, when the 2010 American Idol Live! Tour plays Quicken Loans Arena.

I’m assuming that’s good news for fans of the show.

But as long as it keeps spitting out boring blowhards like Adam Lambert instead of singers who can actually sing (like Kelly Clarkson), I’m not gonna waste my me-time watching.

Still, Season 9’s Top 10 contestants — including the three I mentioned above, plus Andrew Garcia, Casey James, Aaron Kelly, Michael Lynche, Siobhan Magnus, Katie Stevens, and Tim Urban — will all be there.

The tour starts in July, so the performers should be pretty solid by the time they reach Cleveland (which is one of the final concerts on the two-month tour).

  1. “boring blowhards like Adam Lambert”?? There is nothing boring about that Lambert guy. He is the most exciting thing to happen on the music scene for a very long time. My friends and I are from Asia and we’re planning to spend a few thousand dollars just to fly in to attend one of his concerts. I suppose it is a case of different strokes for different folks. By the way, I clicked to read your article only because the name ‘Adam Lambert’ appeared in the headline.
