As Cities Burn is one of those rare emo bands that deserve a better label than "emo," but when a song like "Terrible! How Terrible for the Great City!" suddenly explodes from a quiet, almost unplugged sing-along to a wall of guitar noise, it's the kind of revelatory music that can drop you to your knees. That's an emotional experience. In certain circles, they call that kind of thing "emo." The Lousiana quintet had announced that it was disbanding after this tour, but popular outcry has inspired the bandmates to commit to another album, though it's unclear whether they'll hit the road again. So see them while you can. Even if you don't like emo.
