You never know what you’re going to get when you go to a Bob Dylan concert. Sometimes, the guy mumbles so much, you can’t make out what he’s saying. Other times, his songs take on an ethereal quality. When he played Akron’s E.J. Thomas Hall last year, he sounded sharp and his band really clicked too. Standing at the microphone stand and swaying back and forth under dim lights, he looked like he was a boxer who’d already been through a few tough rounds of fighting; his voice was so raspy, it made him sound a bit like Tom Waits. But the two-hour concert was a true treat. Dylan brings his current tour to the State Theatre at 8 p.m. on Nov. 12. Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 5.
